The Challenge

The bedroom had high ceilings and dead space either side of the chimney breast. They'd tried freestanding wardrobes but nothing fitted properly.

The Solution

We designed floor-to-ceiling wardrobes in a shaker style to match the room's period features. Oak-lined inside with double rails and adjustable shelves. We matched the cornice detail so they look built-in from day one.

Size
140 sq ft / 13m²

The Challenge

The existing kitchen was cramped and outdated with poor storage. The family needed a functional space that could handle daily cooking and laundry without feeling cluttered.

The Solution

We fitted a U-shaped layout with handleless grey units and dark granite-effect worktops. A stainless steel splashback runs the full length for easy cleaning. We integrated the washing machine and dishwasher, added soft-close drawers throughout, and fitted large format floor tiles that are practical and hard-wearing.

280 sq ft / 26m²

The Challenge

This Victorian terrace had tired decor and the bay window area was wasted space. The owners wanted to open up the ground floor while keeping the period character.

The Solution

We built a custom window seat in the bay with integrated storage beneath. The alcoves either side of the chimney breast got bespoke cabinetry in sage green with oak tops. We laid engineered oak flooring throughout and added new skirting boards to match the originals.

Size
25 sq ft / 2.3m²

The Challenge

The under-stairs cloakroom was dark and dated. The sloped ceiling made it feel even smaller, and the old suite was well past its best.

The Solution

We fitted white tongue and groove paneling to the walls and ceiling, creating a bright, cohesive look that works with the awkward angles. A compact wall-hung toilet maximises floor space. The slate-effect floor tiles add a touch of contrast, and we added proper ventilation and a new light fitting.

Duration

Size
180 sq ft / 17m²

The Challenge

The garden was overgrown and unusable. They wanted a low-maintenance area for a future shed or summerhouse, with proper drainage and a clean finish.

The Solution

We cleared the site and built a raised gravel bed using treated railway sleepers as edging. A membrane underneath prevents weed growth while allowing drainage. The gravel base is compacted and level, ready for a structure. New close-board fencing completes the boundary.

Natural Slate Patio Installation

Clapham, SW4
Duration
5 Days
Size
200 sq ft / 19m²

The Challenge

The old concrete patio was cracked and uneven. They wanted something that looked natural and would age well, with proper drainage away from the house.

The Solution

We laid Indian slate in a random pattern on a concrete base with a gentle fall for drainage. The varied grey tones give it character without being too busy. We fitted contemporary slatted cedar screening along one boundary for privacy and added new outdoor lighting.

Size
850 sq ft / 79m²

The Challenge

This bar needed new flooring that could handle heavy foot traffic, spills, and regular cleaning. The existing floor was worn and didn't match the refurbished interior.

The Solution

We fitted commercial-grade LVT planks in a weathered oak finish. The click-lock system means no adhesive and minimal downtime. It's completely waterproof, scratch-resistant, and easy to maintain. We worked around the existing furniture and completed the job overnight to avoid disrupting trade.

The Challenge

The living room had a blank wall that needed storage and a proper home for the TV and media equipment. They wanted something bold that made a statement.

The Solution

We designed and built a floor-to-ceiling unit in deep navy blue with a mix of open shelving and closed cabinets. The TV recess has cable management built in, and LED strip lighting on the shelves creates atmosphere. The lower cabinets hide the router, games consoles, and all the cables.

The Challenge

The original doors throughout this 1930s house were damaged and draughty. The owners wanted to restore the period feel with proper six-panel doors that actually fitted.

The Solution

We hung new solid core six-panel doors throughout, adjusting frames where needed for a proper fit. Each door was primed and given two coats of satinwood in the customer's choice of white. We fitted quality brass handles and hinges, and added draught excluders to external doors.
